StudentsImpact: View Response #16

1.What did you learn about new teaching and learning practices (such as blended learning (face to face and E-learning), more than one instructor, European Instructors, remote lab (if working),…)?

I wouldn't say i learned anything about 'new teaching and learning practices'. It would more accurate to say I have had a better experience learning the course since I am convinced that blended learning, better yet, e-learning is the most effective, fair, time-saving method of learning today. Receiving lectures from various instructors was definitely beneficial to cover the course from many different aspects rather than being exposed to a single discipline of teaching.

2.What new links have you built with other students and universities in Europe (during visits to Europe or having European Instructors)?

I have not met a single European student. I have only received lectures and on-site tours from European instructors. No special links were built.

3.Do you think that MUREE (course and/or visits to EU) has provided you with extra career potential? If yes, how?

Possibly yes, if the instructors that we visited in EU were genuine in their promises to welcome us for training in the future. Certificates of participation could be of good use for the future as well. However, the experience learned is potentially beneficial for my experience as an engineer.

4.What new skills and competencies did you obtain through the use of the labs? (if applicable).

Not applicable.

5.Please feel free to tell us about your experiences, and please give specific examples if possible.

It has been very interesting. I do not view this as a passing experience for sure. I hope that our universities use this experience to adapt it to our teaching methods and introduce blended learning to all courses. This is how teaching should be done.
